Demon Soccer
The WDA Conference Champions in boys Soccer is a team from the Capitol City but it is not Bismarck High But the Demons are glad they were in the running for it at the end and with the West Region later this week the young team s hopes are high St Mary s Century and B-H-S were all seperated by just one point going into last night s regular season finale Each won their games which gave St Mary s the edge However the win for the Demons was their fourth straight conference victory Tim Green What we talked about at the beginning of the year was just progressing Each game just getting a little bit better Not so concerned with wins versues losses but just playing right and getting ourselves into the position that we have now where we can kind of make a run at the end Mark Hovland I think the young kids are all ready to step up fill those spots They ve been working hard in practice and the games have just been an improvement throughout the whole year With the six team format Bismarck High just missed out on a first round bye Instead the Demons have the third seed and will face Jamestown on Friday Morning The winner will take on Century in the afternoon On the other side of the bracket Minot High and Mandan will match-up with the winner squaring off with St Mary s
