Mary granted full active NCAA status

It was a goal The University of Mary had set and now because of their success and hardwork as a provisional school in the NCAA they have been granted early active membership into the NCAA The NCAA basically waived the schools final two years as a provisional school something the school didn t even ask for Al We considered it we were gonna ask to skip a year forward go to five we thought if we didn t do it s a negative thing hanging on our program so we completed our work and uh the chips fell sin great shape for us The school will now be eligible to compete in the postseason in ALL sports Something this years seniors would not have been able to do Blair It truly is Christmas in July for seniors who get one last chance to make it possible make a run make it possible to win a national championship and that s just more motivation for the team and everyone involved Brad Baseball wise we have couple seniors that are gonna be excited you know Mike Feldman and Matt Leer uh other than that baseball we start six freshman and you know I think it s just gonna be a great opportunity for em The U-Mary womens Soccer and Track teams have already competed in the postseason The soccer team and womens track team both won the conference title Automatic bids to regional and national postseason play were on the line last year for all the other sports at U-Mary which meant they could not compete in the postseason The Marauders entry into the NCAA becomes official immediately and they will have to complete a compliance review before June 1st of 2008 to retain active status NSIC commissioner Butch Raymond said he s never seen a school become an active member this fast
